Induráin, Freire and Sean Kelly are part of the illustrious list of cyclists that will accompany Contador in the tenth anniversary of the Mallorca 312 – Giant - Taiwan

Next 27th of April, the Mallorca 312 – Giant – Taiwan will celebrate its tenth anniversary, and will mark the event by bringing together the ex-professional cyclists who have been honourees in past editions and are an important part of the history of this Gran Fondo. This means that Alberto Contador, bib 312 in 2019, will ride with Miguel Induráin, Óscar Freire, Sean Kelly, Óscar Pereiro, as well as the regulars, Pedro Horrillo and Joseba Beloki, who have not missed a single edition since they were made honourees in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Italian rider, Ivan Basso, will also join the 312-kilometre challenge.

This small illustrious peloton that will escort the 8000 participants from the starting line at Playa de Muro, has eight Tour de France, six Giro de Italia and three Vuelta a España wins under its belt thanks to the achievements of Alberto Contador, Miguel Indurain, Óscar Pereiro and Ivan Basso, as well as endless cycling monuments and three rainbow jerseys thanks to Classic specialists Sean Kelly and Óscar Freire. Joseba Beloki, of course, has made it to the podium in the Tour and in the Vuelta, and Pedro Horrillo, one of the most valued teammates, will again lead the participants in any one of the three routes that are part of the Gran Fondo.

German rider Rick Zabel, a rider for the Katusha Alpecin team, will also participate making the most of his training camp in the island during the month of April. David Brailsford, the manager of the British squad, will repeat his experience in the Mallorca 312, coinciding with Jim Radcliffe, President of INEOS, the company that will take over from Sky as the team’s sponsor. Toni Tauler, another classic name, will not be missing the event either
