The Mallorca 312 joins forces with Aproscom Fundació for the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities
In its tenth edition, the Mallorca 312 – Giant – Taiwan joins forces with Aproscom Fundació, a foundation that works towards improving the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and enables their inclusion, while also supporting their families. The agreement, which goes further than just an economic contribution from the cyclosportive towards the development of the centre’s activities, aims to connect users with the event so that they can see the fruits of their labour as they prepare the 8000 bags for the participants.
Present at the signature of the agreement was María Francesca Rigo, coordinator of the Occupational Service, as well as the director of the Mallorca 312 – Giant – Taiwan, Xisco Lliteras, and the event’s ambassador, ex-cyclist Joseba Beloki.
Through this agreement, the Mallorca 312 – Giant – Taiwan wishes to bring awareness to the work carried out by Aproscom Fundació, whose mission is to attain “a society with more opportunities, an improvement in quality of life and sufficient means for the inclusion of people with functional diversity”, in the words of its president, Pedro Suñer. This collaboration is yet another charity that Mallorca 312 works with, such as UNICEF and last October’s flood victims at Sant Llorenç and other points of the island.
